The Celestial Eye Goldfish is named for it's eyes that point skyward positioned on the top of outgrowths. The Celestial Goldfish is believed to have been developed in Korea in the 1700's.
The outgrowths begin at a very early age. These goldfish have very poor lateral and forward vision so they tend to feel their way around their environment. In a good specimen the pupils are the same size and point the same direction.
